It is performed by inflating the joint with fluid and inserting a telescope to view inside the joint. several small incisions are made. How long will I be in hospital for?An elbow arthroscopy is generally performed as a day procedure, which means you will go home the same day. Will it be very painful afterwards?Generally you will have some discomfort which can be relieved by taking Panadol, Panadeine or Panadeine Forte tablets. How will I need to care for my elbow after the surgery?
Exercises for the elbowYou can commence exercises straight after the surgery. The elbow will be sore but early movement is the best way to prevent stiffness. Exercises to do are:
